Mines are all other deposits of all Mineral Substances not classified as quarries, with the exception of liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons.
These Mineral Substances are called Mine Substances and are divided into distinct categories:
- Category 1: bauxite and iron;
- Category 2: precious substances: gold, platinum group metals, diamonds and other Gemstones;
- Category 3: metallic substances: base metals and minor metals;
- Category 4: non-metallic substances and rare earth;
- Category 5: radioactive substances: uranium, thorium and their derivatives;
- Category 6: mineral and thermal water.
