Alumina Yield

The quantity of alumina product obtained per unit of bauxite ore processed, expressed in tonnes of alumina per tonne of dry bauxite or as a percentage. Alumina yield is determined by bauxite grade, available alumina content, digestion efficiency, and process losses. Maximizing alumina yield while meeting product quality specifications is fundamental to refinery economic performance, as it directly determines production volume from a given ore resource.
