Belt Conveyor Alignment

The accurate positioning and adjustment of a conveyor belt to track centrally along the conveyor frame during operation, preventing edge contact with structure and idlers. Proper alignment minimises belt wear, reduces material spillage, prevents structural damage, and ensures safe operation. Alignment is achieved through precise installation of idlers, correct belt tensioning, and use of self-aligning idlers or automatic tracking systems. Misalignment is one of the most common causes of belt conveyor downtime in mining operations.
