Bleeder Valve

A valve designed to release small amounts of fluid, gas, or pressure from a system for safety relief, system purging, sampling, or maintenance purposes. In mining processing plants, bleeder valves are used on pipelines, pressure vessels, and hydraulic systems to safely vent pressure before maintenance work, remove entrapped air, or collect representative samples. Bleeder valves are critical safety components in high-pressure systems such as Bayer process digesters and autoclave gold leach circuits, where unexpected pressure release can cause serious injury.
